On October 14, entrusted by Minister Zhong Shan, Vice Minister and Deputy China International Trade Representative Wang Shouwen attended and addressed the virtual RCEP ministerial meeting in Beijing. The meeting believed that RCEP will further promote regional economic integration, the strong growth of trade and investment among countries, and economic recovery after the epidemic. The meeting affirmed the substantial progress made in legal scrubbing and decided to make full preparations for trying to sign the agreement within this year.
The meeting was chaired by rotating ASEAN Chair Vietnam and attended by trade ministers or representatives from the 10 ASEAN member states, China, Japan, ROK, Australia, and New Zealand as well as Secretary-General of ASEAN.
