From March 2 to 5, the fourth round of China-Switzerland Free Trade Agreement enhancement negotiations was held in Switzerland. The Chinese and Swiss sides held in-depth discussions on issues including trade in goods, trade in services, investment, rules of origin, trade facilitation, e-commerce, environment, and economic and technical cooperation, etc. The negotiations made positive progress.
The China-Switzerland FTA was signed in July 2013 and entered into force in July 2014. It has played an important role in promoting the growth of bilateral trade and investment between China and Switzerland. In September 2024, China and Switzerland launched the FTA enhancement negotiations.
