On July 11-13, the 2nd round of negotiation of China-Israel Free Trade Area was held in Beijing. Both sides conducted negotiations on issues such as trade in goods, trade in service, movement of natural persons, trade remedy, economic and technical cooperation, e-commerce, dispute resolution and other legal problems with positive progress.

In March 2016, when Vice Premier Liu Yandong visited Israel, she jointly announced to start China-Israel FTA negotiation with the Premier of Israel Bejamin Netanyahu. The bilateral trade and economic relationship between China and Israel is close. At present, China has become the third largest trade partner of Israel. In 2016, the bilateral trade volume reached US$11.36 billion.
