The first meeting of Feasible Study and Exploratory Discussion on China-Canada FTA was held in Beijing on February 20-24. Canada is the tenth largest economy in the world and also the major trade and economic partner of China. The two sides will analyze the potential of bilateral trade and economic cooperation in joint feasible study, hold in-depth talks on issues of each other’s concern and expectation for the FTA in the future, and provide reference basis for both governments to decide whether to launch the FTA negotiations in the future.
