Sino-Norway Annual Conference on Development and Cooperation was held in Beijing on May 26. The two sides exchanged views on such issues as the latest policies, development strategies and future cooperation fields. Norwegian side expressed their willingness to deepen and strengthen cooperation with China in environmental protection, climate change, trade and environment. And assistance to China will be maintained and will not affected by the financial crisis, priority will be given to projects in the western regions of China.

Since 1999, 18 cooperation projects in environment have been carried out by the two sides, and the total amount of assistance were about NOK197 million (about USD29.96 million).
