The 6th Conference of the China-New Zealand Free Trade Area Joint Committee was held in Wellington, New Zealand on March 24-25, 2015. The Chinese delegation was composed of personnel from such units as the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Finance, the General Administration of Customs, the Embassy in New Zealand and the Consulate-General in Christchurch. Both sides examined the implementation situation of such fields as trade in goods, service trade, movement of natural persons and rules of origin and agreed to launch the joint assessment mechanism of China-New Zealand Free Trade Area upgrading negotiations.

Chinese Ambassador to New Zealand Wang Lutong and former Ambassador of New Zealand to China Carl Robinson Worker attended the conference.
