On Apr. 7, Chen Deming, minister of MOFCOM and Phil Goff, trade minister of New Zealand, signed the Free Trade Agreement between Governments of People’s Republic of China and New Zealand on behalf of their government respectively at the presence of Wen Jiabao, premier of PRC and Helen Clark, premier of New Zealand, in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The Agreement, covering many areas including trade in goods, trade in service and investment, is the first all-round FTA between China and other countries and also the first one between China and a developed country.
