The 12th round of negotiations on China-South Korea Free Trade Area(FTA) took place in South Korea on July 14. Assistant Minister of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce Wang Shouwen and South Korean Assistant Commerce Minister Woo Tae-hee led delegations to the negotiations respectively. During the one-week negotiations, they will hold talks on fields like goods trade, serve trade, investment, rules of origin, trade remedy, technical barriers to trade, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, and intellectual property.

Negotiations on China-South Korea FTA were officially launched in May 2012. Leaders from both countries jointly announced recently that efforts would be made to complete the negotiations by the end of this year.
