The 21st round of negotiations on the China-Australia free trade agreement was held in Beijing on September1-5. Chinese Assistant Minister of Commerce Wang Shouwen and Australian Vice Executive Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Jane Addams led their delegations to attend the negotiations.
Both sides had comprehensive and in-depth talks on such issues as trade in goods, service trade, investment and agreement text in a pragmatic and frank manner, and made proactive and constructive progress.
After this round of negotiations, both sides will keep close contact on relevant issues and further narrow differences between them so as to sign the agreement early.
