From June 16 to 20, the 11th Round of Sino-Australian FTA talk was held in Beijing. The two sides discussed the issues of market access in cargo trade, finance and education services, intellectual property, investment, non-tariff measures, rules of origin, customs procedures, inspection and quarantine, dispute settlement, etc. and carried on the consultation on “the early achievement” of their respective areas of concern. The negotiation has made some progress on the rules of origin, intellectual property rights, etc.
The two sides agreed that the 12th round of talks shall be held in early September this year in Canberra.
