On April 13, the 12th Round of Negotiation of China-Japan-South Korea Free Trade Zone was held in Tokyo, Japan. Vice Minister of Commerce Wang Shouwen, Japanese Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Keiichi Katakami and Assistant Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy of South Korea Lee Sang-jin led their delegations to attend the conference. The three parties exchanged in-depth views on important issues such as how to push forward trade in goods, trade in services and investment.

This round of negotiations began on April 10. The three parties held working group meetings on trade in services, telecommunications, financial services, natural persons, investment, competition policy, intellectual property rights and e-commerce, and conducted a comprehensive and detailed policy exchange on management measures regarding trade in services.

China-Japan-Korea FTA negotiations were launched in November 2012. The three parties attached great importance to the negotiations, and strove to reach a comprehensive, high-level and reciprocal free trade agreement with unique value.
