On March 29, the 4th round negotiation of the 2nd phase China-ROK FTA was held in Beijing. The two parties conducted further consultations on service trade and investment, so as to promote the negotiation to gain steady progress.

On December 14, 2017, China and ROK signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Launching the Second Phase Negotiation of China-ROK FTA, and the 2nd phase of China-ROK FTA negotiation launched officially, which used the negative list for the first time to conduct negotiation on service trade and investment. The two parties will actively promote the second phase negotiation, so as to create a freer and more convenient environment of service trade and investment for the enterprises of the two countries.
