The 2nd phrase of China-ROK FTA negotiations was held on March 22. Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy China International Trade Representative Wang Shouwen and South Korean Deputy Minister of Trade and Investment Kim Young-sam led the delegation to attend the meeting. Both sides were satisfactory with the implementation of the 1st phrase of FTA. According to the agreement, the two sides will negotiate on the market access to service and investment areas.

The China-ROK FTA was officially put into force on December 20, 2015. On December 14, 2017, China and ROK jointly signed MOU on Launching the 2nd phrase of China-ROK FTA Negotiations. Next, the two sides will endeavor to carry out major consensus reached by leaders of both sides, actively push forward the 2nd phrase of China-ROK FTA negotiations, enhance to reach agreement with win-win cooperation and constantly upgrade bilateral trade and investment cooperation.
